Well, with Valentine’s Day behind us, perhaps we’re ready to take a rather darker look at love and marriage… what do you say?

Ouray High School Drama Club will present two one-act plays this weekend, a melodramatic high-spirited comedy and a dramatic murder mystery, both of which look under the surface of romantic relationships.

At first glance, the Rubik’s Cube might look hard and even impossible, but it isn’t as hard as you’d expect. You can solve a Rubik’s Cube, as long as you put the practice and effort into it.

Ouray High School Creative Writing is back as an elective after a six-year hiatus. One January afternoon, they took a walk in the crisp air and composed these haiku from their observations.

The pandemic took away a lot of things from people all over the world. For Ouray School, many yearly events were canceled without any known reschedule dates. What many thought would just be weeks until the reschedule turned into two years. After careful consideration, and many precautions in place, Ouray School performances are back! Masks were a requirement to watch the performances.

The Ivalas Quartet from Boulder traveled to Ouray to perform at The Wright Opera House on Thursday December 9 and stopped by Ouray School for the afternoon. Middle and high school students were fortunate enough to spend some time with them and ask questions that sparked their interest after the quartet performed.

Korean drama, otherwise known as K-drama, is very entertaining and binge-worthy. The plotlines are one of the reasons Korean dramas are so good. The plot lines can be lighthearted or serious, depending on what you want to watch, making any K-drama worthwhile.

The lights dim, the voices of hundreds of spectators fade, and the curtains open, revealing a Christmas village full of graceful ballerinas in their caroling dance.

The high school theater class will be putting on a show on Thursday, December 9, at 7pm in the school's auditorium, the APAC. It consists of nine short scenes from various works. It’s free and available for general audiences. The students performing have been working very hard these past weeks in preparation.
