The Ouray Brewery is staffed by many Ouray students, who find it an exciting place to work, and appreciate the great people they work with. The Ouray Brewery could be considered one of the busiest and most successful restaurants in Ouray Colorado.
Brewery owner Erin Eddy believes in creating a positive atmosphere for employees as well as patrons. ¨Leading by example while having fun in the workplace creates a work environment that people enjoy,” he said. “I treat the people that work with me as co-workers and not employees.¨
Ouray Brewery hires kids as young as ten to run up and down three flights of stairs delivering food to customers. ¨Watching kids obtain life skills cooking in the kitchen and learning how to interact with customers in the restaurant are the two things I enjoy the most.¨ said Erin. Senior Kaden Nelson, who has worked at there for 6 years, added that ¨the Ouray Brewery has taught me to be dedicated and have a good work ethic.¨
Sophomore Roman Sackman added, “The reason customers end up coming back is that the employees are respectful and everyone loves the food.” The Brewery workers are great at complimenting each other and are very helpful.
Brewery employees say their ¨favorite part about the Ouray Brewery is that we get great work experience, get to build responsibility, and enjoy coworkers' company,” sophomore Caleb Crandall said. “Erin Eddy is a really good boss that communicates well and is a successful businessman.”
