The high school theater class will be putting on a show on Thursday, December 9, at 7pm in the school's auditorium, the APAC. It consists of nine short scenes from various works. It’s free and available for general audiences. The students performing have been working very hard these past weeks in preparation.
The performers will be Roger Blake, Morgan Clark, Mariana Dos Santos, Nate Kissingford, Aaron Pitts, Gerald Wilson, and Aynsleigh Wood.
In interviews ten days before the show, there was a general consensus between the actors that they weren’t quite ready to perform, but are, as Gerald put it, “somewhat ready. We’re getting there, we’re getting there.” Nate shared the same sentiment, saying that “while I feel like we will be ready, I don’t feel ready yet.”
Junior Nate Kissingford said that “the show is a wonderful mix of wit and humor,” but that is not all; the actors are also weaving in “moments of tragedy and interesting depth,” which adds variety to the performance.
Gerald is excited to “see what the audience thinks” about the show, and Aynsleigh remarked that ”it’s fun for us to perform” and that “having an audience there just makes it that much more enjoyable.” As Roger said, “it’s free, what do you have to lose?”
